PAAM-NCNC of the United Church of Christ, is comprised of institutions, churches and individuals who identify
themselves as Pacific Islanders and Asian Americicans. PAAM-NCNC also welcomes anyone who supports and celebrates our mission
and vision for justice and human rights for all people no matter their color, race, or ethnic background.
Our Mission
Promote Leadership & identities of Pacific Islanders & Asian Americans in order to empower them
& their churches in the United Church of Christ
Listen & Identify concerns of PAAM ethnic groups and advocate
strategies for developing solutions.
Recognize and celebrate the unique insights and contributions of Pacific Islanders
& Asian Americans in the life of the United Church of Christ.
Encourage Pacific Islanders & Asian Americans
of all ages to affirm their unique ethnic and cultural identities and help to develop their theologies.
Facilitate
involvement of Pacific Islanders & Asian Americans of all ages in covenanted ministries, conferences, associations and
all other settings of the United Church of Christ.
Promote multiracial/multiculatural transformation of the United
Church of Christ in the struggle of justice toward the goal of reconciliation of all people.
Combat institutional
racism by being actively aware that it continues to exists and must be addressed whenever and wherever it is found.
